These scripts are based on Traditional Historical Hands from 200BC to the end of the 19th century. They are of a Formal Calligraphic nature and generally belong to the 'High Book Hands'. They are written using traditional tools and materials, such as quills and reeds with Iron Gall Ink, Gesso, Genuine Gold Powder or Pigments ground for Egg Tempera Painting. The writing surface is usually Vellum, Parchment, Papyrus or historical Paper. Due to the formality of these hands, their very essence lends them the feel and look necessary for Citations, Rolls of Arms, Illuminated Addresses, Wedding Invitations, Place Cards, Birth Announcements and Family Trees or simply beautifully rendererd prose or poetry.
